Afya1 Digital Health

Terms of Service

The agreement for using Afya1. Operating rules for bookings, fees, and payouts are in the Company Policy.

Effective date: 5 October 2026Kisumu, Kenya

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and Zorvica Innovations Limited ("Afya1", "we") for use of the Afya1 Digital Health platform. By creating an account, booking care, or offering care, you agree to these terms, the Privacy Policy, the Company Policy, and the Cancellation Policy.

The Company Policy is the operating rulebook for verification, fees, escrow, and payouts. These terms are the contract for using the service. If a sentence appears in both, the Company Policy controls the operating detail and these terms control the legal relationship.

2. What Afya1 is

Afya1 is a marketplace that connects members with independent providers. Afya1 is not a hospital, and a provider is not an employee of Afya1. Clinical decisions are made by the provider. Afya1 does not guarantee a particular medical result.

3. Accounts

You must give accurate contact details and keep your sign-in private. You are responsible for activity on your account. We may refuse, suspend, or close an account that is false, unused in a way that risks other users, or used to break these terms.

4. Bookings and payment

A booking is confirmed when the provider accepts and you pay the consultation fee. That fee is for the provider's time. Medicine, laboratory tests, and other extras are quoted separately before you pay them.

Patient payments stay in escrow through the session and for 24 hours after it is marked complete. If nobody raises a problem in that window, the provider payout is included in the next evening run. It is not paid on the same evening the session ends. Withdrawals have a KSh 500 minimum. Cancellation and refund timing is set out in the Cancellation Policy.

5. Acceptable use

You will not:

  • Use the platform for unlawful care, fraud, or harassment.
  • Share another person's health information without a proper basis.
  • Interfere with the service, other accounts, or payment records.
  • Hold yourself out as verified, licensed, or employed by Afya1 when you are not.

6. Providers

Providers may accept bookings only after Afya1's verification process. A provider remains responsible for their own licence, insurance where the law or their regulator requires it, and their own tax. Listing on Afya1 does not transfer those duties to Afya1.

7. Privacy

We handle personal and health information as described in the Privacy Policy, including the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019. Health records for a booking are available to the patient and the providers involved in that booking.

8. Suspension

We may suspend access while we look into a safety, payment, or verification problem. Where we close an account, we will say why unless the law or a safety risk means we should not.

9. Liability

Afya1 provides the platform. We are not liable for a provider's clinical judgement, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law of Kenya does not allow us to limit.

10. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page is the date of the current version. Continuing to use Afya1 after an update means you accept the updated terms.

11. Institutional Care

An organization subscribes to an Institutional Care plan based on the number of people it manages. Healthcare outreach services, such as medical camps and screenings, are quoted separately. When an organization sends a healthcare request, it names the kinds of providers it needs and how many. Afya1 puts a quote together and no provider is assigned until the organization approves that quote.

An organization may keep health records for its members through the portal. It is responsible for the accuracy of those records and for confirming the consent described in the Privacy Policy. Records are visible to the organization's authorized users and, only where the organization chooses to share them, to providers assigned to its requests.

12. Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. Disputes are handled in the courts of Kenya, without limiting any right you have under consumer or data-protection law.
